Supporting a Sports & Social Client in Their Equity Crowdfunding Journey

An established foreign-owned sports and social club in Petaling Jaya set out to expand their rooftop social club concept — an idea that had already attracted a loyal community. To take this vision further, they turned to equity crowdfunding (ECF), setting a target of RM5 million.

The founders had strong business fundamentals, but their earlier experience with another service provider had left them frustrated and uncertain. When the client secured another fundraising round, we stood by them — this time managing sensitive areas such as pre-emptive rights, ensuring fairness for stakeholders and compliance with both their constitution and the Companies Act.
